I need to post something....

I can honestly say that I have not done or really thought about anything wedding related in the last couple of days...close to a week. So, since I don't really have anything new for the wedding...I'm just going to post some of the dresses that I've been eyeing.

Groom & Groomsmen Inspiration

This is from a friends' wedding, obviously had at the beach, and this is very similar to the look I'm going for :)

She had the groom & groomsmen in khaki/linen pants and long sleeve blue dress shirts. The ring bearers in the same thing...I love how summer/casual feeling it is!

I plan on having the floral design made into a stamp so that I can emboss it. Definetely changing the font of our names and maybe making the flowers a different color (pink/purple to match our color scheme)!

New Pomanders

Solid colors this time and smaller individual flowers...I like these much better than the ones I made before (you can see them in the background & find them here)

Embossed Napkins

I thought I seen someone post on the DIY board on the knot about embossing napkins. I found napkins at Wal-Mart this evening for $.75 per pack (got 300 for $12). I wanted to see if embossing them would work as I'm still skeptical about using the permanent ink on them. Here's what the clear ink and clear powder looks like on the blue napkins:

And here's the clear ink and bridal tinsel powder:

I LOVE the clear powder on the napkins! I'm going to get a monogram stamp to use on the napkins. I can't WAIT to get it ordered and get started. Should take a while with 300 napkins!

Invite Mock-up

I'm very unsure about this, so I'd love opinions (hence my post on theknot). Our colors are Carolina Blue & Lavendar with accents of pink. I love lots of colors but I certainly do not want this to look tacky. Here are the (5) choices I've given myself as of right now :

1) Invite printed on ivory linen paper backed with pink linen paper.

2) Invite printed on lavender linen paper backed with ivory linen paper.

3) Invite printed on ivory linen paper backed with pale blue (baby blue) linen paper.

4) Invite printed on ivory linen paper with no backing.

5) Invite printed on ivory linen paper backed with turquiose linen paper.

And the winner is?
