Vendor Review

Alright everyone, here's my final vendor review. Our cake....it was DELICIOUS and we had MANY compliments about it!

My vendor review for:

Linda Bolick

A

The only reason she doesn't get an A+ was because the cake went on the wrong table. We had one HUGE table that we wanted the gifts, card box, and cake on and I'm not sure if it was her or someone in the wedding party, but it was placed on the wrong table. One of my bridesmaids came in the room we were getting ready in and asked which table the cake was to go on and I specifically told them it went on the only table that didn't have a tablecloth. No big deal, no one even knew that it was wrong but me, so it really didn't matter. The only other complaint I had was that our cake topper wasn't pushed all the way into the cake and it looked pretty goofy! It wasn't a show stopper, but it did kind of take me by surprise.

Here's a picture from our photographer:

Monogram Cake Topper

I started on my monogram cake topper last night and finished up this afternoon! I'm IN LOVE with it. I didn't put out the money for the swarovski crystals, I just bought hotfix rhinestones. I bought 1440 aquamarine 10SS rhinestones from www.threadart.com. I am not sure how many I had to use, but I know it was less than half of them. I'm very pleased with the end product! Now I've got to get FI convinced to use this and ONLY this one as our topper.

Have Your Cake

I haven't looked into anyone to make our cake but I do have a couple of people running through my head. When I started planning I seen that the 'in' thing at the time was monogram cake toppers, covered in bling. I talked with another knottie about either renting/buying hers after her wedding. Once she gave me the prices she would rent/sell for, I decided I could make my own topper for MUCH cheaper than what she even wanted to rent hers for. I set out on a mission to find the prettiest 'P' and finally decided last week. I ordered my DIY wooden cake topper from Crafty Eddy (craftyeddy@gmail.com) on Thursday. I decided to use Brock Sript and I will buy my rhinestones from ebay (the cheapest I've found). I'm very exicted for this to get here...although I shouldn't be working on it since school is back in session, I'm sure I'll have it done within a week or two.
